Something Wicked This Way Comes by CuttoothComment: It's surprisingly hard to make knives show up in shots like this. I managed to get a few shots that that showed it nicely but were ultimately relegated to outtakes for Film Noir because I didn't like the rest of them, and it took a good deal of work to make the knife even evident at all in the final. Nice shot, was pretty sure this one was yours. |

Left to the Shadowsby OverflowStudiosComment: Excellent job of showing less to illustrate more. Less of the building is shown, yet the feel, the look, is conveyed so much more fully as a result. Nice take on things. My fave for this challenge, but a large margin. |

Parked by TiberiusComment: Nice light on this one. Interesting that it is locked up, despite having obviously been left. Perhaps their pedals were stolen and they never made the trip back? |

vincent's houseby tangueraComment: Oddly claustrophobic. I like this- it's a more intimate look at an abandoned structure than many of the others, which simply depict the front facade. Here, we get more of a feeling for things. |

The Never Summer Rangeby hahn23Comment: I was pretty sure this was yours, given the location, but wasn't totally sure since you seem to like the look of forests and wildlife more than the look of the tundra.
Great cloud formations here, and the richness of your sky is great. |

S0512202by caroline64Comment: Very nice BW conversion and your depth of field works wonderfully. I could very easily see this as a stock photo. But at the same time, I don't find it terribly interesting, as a result, since it isn't a particularly fresh take on things, either. |

Matchbook Memoriesby dswannComment: I like that your image focuses on the meaning, not the object. It's curious to note that not only is your subject mundane, but so is your depiction, yet your direction is interestingly refreshing and delves beyond the surface of the object. Nicely done. |

to see what it feels likeby jmritzComment: I can't quite discern what is being held in the hand, but this photo leaves me wondering at what it holds, and what other snippets the photo holds, its atmosphere and feel, in spite of the fact that it's a really simple scene. A bamboozling crop that leaves me asking What? How? and Huh? simultaneously. That, my friend, means you succeeded wildly in this challenge. A rarely given 9 here. |

Sidewalk Leafby markwileyComment: I like the harsh texture of the sidewalk. Very synthetic against the organic leaf. |
