Canal viewby hajekaComment: Don't ever expect to score well on a shot like this, but I appreciate it. Powerplants and landscapes are a perfect mix, if you ask me.
Thanks for the effort. |

reflectionsby MonaComment: I'm okay with the coldness of this. Shame more don't appreciate "cold nature." Nicely done. |

Bridge over the Big Sioux Riverby Jules1xComment: Regarding your other comment-
Scenes like this are tricky, as you have warmer late day light and cool shadows. If you warm things, you will overcook your oranges and reds (especially on the Nikon sensors I've experience with), but keeping them as is will look unnatural. The solution is to warm your shadows selectively or set for your shadows and cool your highlights. I would recommend warming your shadows as my experience has been that Nikon sensors have better leniency on the cool end, not the warm.
Nice reflections but not a particularly captivating scene. |

SunSetby Mrpio3Comment: Love the framing with the people but the skewed horizon is troublesome. |

By The Lakeby Asainz320Comment: I agree there is some weirdness with the color here. The top right of the bench is straight up purple, for instance, and everywhere else appears way saturated.
ETA: Weirdness with internet, my apologies. Message edited by author 2013-11-20 03:40:45. |

Predawn Serenityby CoryComment: I have a feeling this would've done better in Negative Space.
I think the "over pushed" HDR-ness of the sky is really due to the shutter duration, and separate from processing. Love the scene, but feel the downplayed water and notable sky would've been a good candidate for challenges other than body of water, which is minimized here. |

South Inlet, Storm Brewingby PenelopeKComment: Really like the rays and the huge contrast between land and water. You've got a bit of sensor dust top right. I'm looking more for this myself, as my camera suddenly became horribly dirty very quickly as of late.
ETA: Not big on the border, but I'm generally negative on borders here, so hard to say. Message edited by author 2013-11-20 02:59:26. |

All that glitters...by digifotojoComment: This is a perfect candidate for HDR. Your setting sun has quite obviously overwhelmed your sensor, so doing a combination of exposures to maintain that would be perfect here. |
