Regarding your other comment-
Scenes like this are tricky, as you have warmer late day light and cool shadows. If you warm things, you will overcook your oranges and reds (especially on the Nikon sensors I've experience with), but keeping them as is will look unnatural. The solution is to warm your shadows selectively or set for your shadows and cool your highlights. I would recommend warming your shadows as my experience has been that Nikon sensors have better leniency on the cool end, not the warm.

This is a bit flat in terms of color and contrast. I also think the white balance is a bit off. It looks chilly, but I think this could benefit from a warmer look. No harm in using cloudy white balance even tho it's not cloudy. 6 |
