Haha. Nice action capture- the pose is excellent. I would like to have seen things from a bit wider perspective though, in order to get the scale of the wave crashing and just to improve perspective a bit. It feels like I'm being swallowed by the wave like the surfer as well, and I'd prefer to see the magnitude of how much the surfer is being swallowed, if you get me. Still good.

I agree... I really thought this would have scored higher. The selective desat is pretty nice. Maybe it's because the powerlines aren't such a prominent part? Who knows, but I like it.

I would prefer to see where the building meets the ground, and it would also strengthen the vanishing point on the left. I'd also recommend getting a lower perspective, and if at all possible, bracketing exposure to combine into an HDR. This is a good candidate for this approach.

Nice tones, you've done a nice job in the black and white conversion. This image would be strengthened quite a bit by having one of the children's faces visible.

I feel like that with these photos, you have chosen to crop or frame the images in places that draw unwanted attention to the elements that are cut off. They do not seem to be naturally separated, and the scene seems incomplete as a result. The stairway, for instance, makes the whole scene seem incomplete because it leads off the frame.

I like this shot. The bird's silhouette is nice, but I would wish the bird to be more prominent and higher in the frame, though. Also, your horizon is slightly tilted.

I like the perspective of this. It invites the viewer to speculate about what is truly being looked at- What is its use? Is it a dangerous device? Nice angle, and I especially like how you can see nearly every one of the spikes.

Very nice lighting. I prefer the manner in which Strobist used a strong keylight to add to the dynamism, but this is very good. Great job.
