Copy of P1000541by spiritualspatulaComment: It's funny you should mention cleaning...
I work the nightshift, so I get to see such things happen.
There's a vehicle that looks sorta like a spider crossed with an extendable boom vehicle that comes in the front door and deploys its legs across the lobby, which then extends up to the top. Takes an entire night to clean the windows. If you're curious, this is actually a hospital, though I know you probably would've never guessed. Those windows you see on the side of the lobby walls are patient rooms, and the glass in the very top of the shot is in an outdoors atrium thing that you can look back down through into the bottom of the hospital. Pretty cool design.
From what I had heard, those tracks in the ceiling were originally designed to accept some sort of cables for a hanging window cleaning setup, but there were problems of some sort so they use the spider thing now. It just BARELY fits in the front door (maybe 2 inches extra on the top). |

Wallby tvsometimeComment: This caught my eye when I first opened the thread. The window with the radiating lines has a nice effect, and then, upon closer examination, the crenulations in the wall itself become evident. Good shot. |

Warning!by jomariComment: Looks as though the warning was a bit late...
How deep is the water, and can you even normally see the sign? It looks as though it would be obscured by the foliage?
This photo leaves me a bit curious about the scene as a whole. |

Rodney Radaljby daisydavidComment: I'd like a bit more lighting on the eyes, since this appears to be a posed portrait. I'm alright with the contrasty scene, but the eyes are a natural focal point for the viewer. |

Night Shift at the Replicant Factoryby david_cComment: Bummer on the DQ. I knew this was going to be one of the higher finishers during voting. It sets up that cold industrial feel very well, and the huge variety of lighting on the surfaces brings a lot for the viewer to look at. |

Millipede 2by CoryComment: Sweetness. The ones up here are so much more boring and minute. |

WSMR UXO signby CoryComment: hahaha. What an awesomely ominous warning for photographers, who wander aimlessly where they feel without realizing it. |

A road, or a riverby CoryComment: Beautiful sky you've got going on here. The desert washes are neat to see, as well. |

evieby JulietNNComment: I like this shot. It's got moody contrast, but nothing ominous. Considering how many shots I've seen of babies where the kid looks demented but people love it anyway, I don't really understand why anybody would have reservations on this shot. |
