All joking aside, I find that the nitpicking is generally only so bad on challenge photos. Most non-challenge photos here get pretty good comments, positive and constructive critiques for the most part. If one were to nitpick, one would forget to find the great things.. like, in this photo, the fact that, with a MANUAL FOCUS lens, I was able to get a moving object frozen in space at an odd angle with the *proper* area of focus actually *in* focus :)

Unfortunately, the only night I had available for this shoot turned out to be a damned hellishly windy night.

I wasn't pleased with this shot, or most of the shots I got from this shoot.. but got convinced to enter it last minute in place of another shot I had.. which I think would have done much, much better.

Alas. Not too concerned though. It placed higher than I expected, and my average didn't suffer too much. lol. My beauty shot is on course to finish about the same as this one too. It seems that, even though I have a great camera, and can produce stunning photography on my own... when I'm forced to stick within confines of a challenge, I just can't quite pull out of the "I'm going to be different on purpose MUWAHAHAH you bastards!" mentality that I seem to have.

I love it.. but you're right, it would probably have scored down in the 5.3 - 5.5 range. I made a last minute change to my lighting entry.. and regret it bad now.

Oh well.. live and learn. Is this your daughter by the way?
