The sheriff dude looks so smug.. which, I imagine, they did back when. A bit of a hot-spot on the chin, but a wonderful portrait, nicely composed. Good DOF, great focus.. He must have been a hero to the families under his protection (well, not *this* guy so much as those before him in the day) for sure.

This is a nice shot, but I think the background plays too harsh with your subject, The lines and shadows of the blinds aren't all that helpful, to me.

I like the use of selective desat here, it really helps sell the achievements. I don't really like how his face sort of blends in a little too much with the background here, but I'm empty of suggestions on how to improve it.. your contrast and lighting seem to be really good. Perhaps just a change of BG (as nice as this one is)
