Contentedby JewellianComment: lol.. it.. uh.. does look contented.. like it just ate a small child for breakfast. YUM!
Looks like you have a real problem with hot and dead pixels though... unless that's something else. |

Teenage Rebellionby aerogurlComment: Although teenage rebellion isn't exactly a mood, you've portrayed a really good shot of disassociative apathy ;)
I like this, but wish the main photograph was larger. Wide borders are great for framed prints, but just detract in a web image. |

Joyby Dim7Comment: A great candid shot of an animal enjoying life. Those rolls in the grass must feel great to a dog. Good detail, crisp focus where needed, good emotion. |

What Nowby BigMoComment: That cat definitely looks a little perturbed. A nice shot. Focus is off, and there isn't a lot of detail in the fur. More light directly on the subject would have helped a lot, and shooting against a bright background with a dark subject is inviting trouble. |

Eternal Contemplationby shareinncComment: I just don't read any real mood or emotion from this. It seems hurried and there's no supporting elements to really sell the expressiveness that this sculpture is capable of. |

Exhaustedby EvaanComment: This just doesn't work for me. A photo of a subject *holding* the ruined broom, and emoting "exhaustiveness" would have been much more connected to the challenge. This just seems a little hurried and shoehorned. |

meditativeby rhipsterComment: Although I suspect the dodge/burn job you've done here was entirely intentional, I feel the need to tell you that I personally find it far too strong. The halo around the head is inventive, and I kind of like that.. but the rest of it seems arbitrary and unnecessary. With a little more forethought into levels work, time of day lighting, and bracketing, you could have achieved a much more ethereally natural effect. Still, it's always good to experiment, and you never learn by not doing.
Post-processing aside, I really like the composition of this piece, and your subject does seem very serene and meditative. |

In the mood for loveby digitalpinsComment: You've captured your subject's mood, but next time, perhaps capturing it with the subject in a better composition would make a stronger photograph. There is too much unnecessary negative space here, and the object(s) in the upper corner are very distracting. It's a great, emotive snapshot, but DPC generally demands much more for a higher score.. however, of course, high scores on DPC aren't exactly the end all and be all either, but I must, as a commenter, take the stance that it is what a submitter is striving for. |

Tranquilityby ArtanComment: I'm looking at this challenge as being one that is trying to get a photographer to show a mood *from* his subject, not trying to evoke a mood *for* the subject from the viewer. You've set out to do the latter here. The scene may be tranquil for someone, but I don't seen anyone actually *being* tranquil here. |
