Is the fingerprint embossed? What kind of retouching was done to this in postproduction (if any)?

The title gives this composition a direction but after seeing forensics show after forensic show, I'm left feeling that the fingerprint shouldn't be so obtrusive. Perhaps hiding it in the image under a thin layer of the liquid would have been more to my liking.

The use of the spatter beneath the serated edge is creative. I'm not sure that's how it would be presented in court but it does give a more organic feel to the image that would have been lost with just the smooth metal and liquid color on the central subject.

OK. I see a goblet on its side . . . no wait, two faces?!?
Just kidding. At first glance the texture of the styrofoam head threw me off with the smooth, blankness of the background. The texture stands out even in contrast to the pores/hair/lines on the human subject's face. Perhaps I'm just not in the mood to make up my mind tonight because this work doesn't seem to present a dichotomy that is easily understood. In several ways it presents a multitude of options for interpretation and I'm vacilating between enjoying the uncertainty with which I view the work and the annoyance of having to look at it over and over again.

OK. The human subject's face could be farther back in the image or the styrofoam face could be closer creating a more homogenous structure as the human face is larger. That is from the side of my brain that wants this creation to just 'fit' instead of stand out.
I also wish the creator had titled this work as it concerns me that he/she might not have known what the goal was in this creation.

En toto this image leaves me with unanswered questions that range far beyond what I expected when I saw it in the list and knew it would be flashing onto my computer screen. Kudos

Seemingly staged (I hope).

This photo would have piqued my interest more if the face was cropped about 50-75% out of the picture or maybe if the depth of field was focused more on the bottle. Seeing the face humanizes the photo and distracts me from the pills in the foreground. I guess either focusing on the face or on the pills would, in my opinion, have made a more profound statement.

I also think a darker setting might have lent itself to this scene. The light from the subjects face, robe (?) and the bottle all blend together. I would be more intrigued with an evening gown slightly out of focus in the background (or something with a darker hue)

All-in-all I think this is a good setup, a good subject. Perhaps a little trite for the contest but definitely better than a 'guess what I was thinking when I shot this' photo.

Great subject, Love the interpretation. The caption makes it for this contest, though.

Nice take on the idea.
Sometimes you can make a good point by showing the opposite of the topic.

I think it would have more impact if the shot was tighter; maybe moving the snail between the man's head and the horse's head and tightening up the shot would yield no lettering and just the images of the 3 'contestants'. The snail and the man/horse pair.

Very good photo. I would like ot see it with less orange/red. Perhaps a flater tone.

Fantastic image.

Great subject and composition. I just don't think it has much to do with the challenge (Country Life) as it could be set in a botanical garden in a city.

I'd love to see this picture blown up as this is a great shot of this subject.

Good action. I would prefer a more shallow depth of field so that the running horse is in sharper focus while the barn and horse in the background are less clear. It looks like you shot this at a high ISO as the hooves/legs are frozen even while the tilt of the horse implies motion.

Good subject and a good angle for showing musclature on the move.

Good subject and composition. I like the use of monochrome to dull the whole image; it makes the young boy's face stand out as he looks at the camera. His gaze in the middle of the photo is the soul of this picture.
