Stillby Kimberly75Comment: I really like the subject but the tones of this image don't seem to cover the full range; I don't see a strong enough white point for my taste. I think you could have cropped the right side in just a hair as there is some distracting object in the neckline on the right side of the shot (perhaps part of an earring). |

Tulipsby theflyComment: The first element I notice is the lightness of the tulip heads but that is immediately in contention for me with the grainy texture of the image. Wish that I knew whether you intended the grain to be a major element in the image or not. Regardless if it was not intended then it seems an intrusive element and if it was intended then its not used liberally enough for me to get the more abstract feeling. This image seems to hang between a grainy photo of 3 tulips and an abstract where the general idea of 3 flowers and their brightness is used to create the concept of flowers. Its a creative idea and I want to give you a good score if you were trying for a more artistic interpretation of the subject matter. I'll try to get back to this after the challenge to see what else you have in your port and see how this works into your existing shots. 6 |

Watchful eyeby lectrolComment: Nice focus and composition from my standpoint. I'm not a fan of the sepia with this subject too much but that doesn't affect my scoring of your work. I do, however, feel that the image would have benefitted from a stronger/lighter white point. I have a hard time buying the space just below the rabbit's eye as a solid white against which to compare the other tones; it just seems to have a slight tone to it, too. Love the detail on the fur. |

Silenceby pix-areComment: Outstanding. Good coverage of tones. I see the black in the bench leg and a wide range of tones. Love the shadow under the bench; lovely, rich tonalities in this image. |

Blue Riverby GIS_boyComment: Not only a creative use of color in your duotone image but you have covered the range with your tones. Nice work with the topic. My first reaction was to my perception that the horizon felt tilted. It may not be but I'd be surprised if I'm the only one for whom the image ellicits this feeling. Have you tried rotating the image 2-3 degrees clockwise?
Thanks for a creative treatment that is well-done. |

one tulipby tcmartinComment: Without lifting the image and checking it for myself I can't tell if the darkest areas are solid blacks; then again you may not have meant them to be. Lovely composition & lighting but I wish the darkest tones were emptier & blacker. Great tones; does it print well in a larger format? |

Embarcaderoby JovonJComment: It seems busy to me and I think that leads me to look for a little more contrast to try and separate some element out. The tones seem to be handled well but I just can't get away from the quantity and pervasiveness of the elements that compete in this shot. |

Moltenby RikkiComment: Wow. Love the sky in this one. I wonder; do the clouds lose definition in a larger version of this? They look very bright but they seem to have some tone and depth to them even at their brightest.
Nice shot and good editing. |

Chocolate Kissby StrikeslipComment: Damn!
You are one weird but funny guy. Yeah, ummm, down in the states we have chocolate that "melts in your mouth, not on your face". I'll be happy to ship some up to you next time you get a hankering for some chocolaty goodness. |
