Liberty And Justice by jmsetzlerComment: Hi, I'd like to explain my reasoning for giving this a low mark (I gave a 3, which I admit is a bit low). 1. Its not that original. A very similar shot of water on a leaf won a couple of weeks ago. One comment suggests that this technique was shown practical photography very recently. 2. Its not that technically difficult. You have complete control of the subject. Its a bit like painting by numbers, gives good results for a mimimum of effort. 3. It panders to patriotism, without actually saying anything about it. If the flag was in a patriotic context (parade, cemetary, etc) then thats OK, but I would really have prefered to be able to judge this without having to consider whether the use of the flag was cynical or not (BTW, I am British). |

Encased in Waterby AquaGoddess12880Comment: Its not vertical and you've cropped the botton off the glass. Also, rotating the table to get the wicker running horizontal would help the 'formality' of the picture. Using fizzy water (or lemonade) could have helped the dead area in the bowl of the glass. |

Clarity of Visionby magnetic9999Comment: I did a quick test of this concept, and got a load of very average results. What setup did you use to create this pic? |

knobs by snsComment: The far orb is not dead center in the near one, which takes a little bit away from the photo. Maybe you could try digging a hole in your shower wall to get the camara body out of the way. |

Running for Shadeby ritaardComment: Before clicking, I run through a mental checklist, one item being 'Am I holding the camera straight?' |

Mothraby mciComment: I always get problems with the antennae out of focus, or blurred if I use a longer exposure. Not much you can do about it. |
