Nice idea. To eliminate the glare, turn the flash off, and brace the camera against something. Maybe a cardboard cutout cell would give you more control over composition.

Good eggs. Tthe hammer head is overexposed on one side, under at the other. Perhaps a reflector to get some light back from this side would have helped.

Is this a reference to that classic of market research? Housewives felt guilty about using readymix, so they put 'Add an Egg' on the packets so the Missus felt she was still contributing some effort, and thus 'baking' rather than cheating. Perhaps your picture could have alluded to that, because as it is, it doesnt really say anything.
