Great capture of a joyful moment for both of you. I know the feeling with having a child not wanting to be photographed. I have to promise things like later bed-times and extra time on the net etc. But all in all he cooperates with his dad and I love him for it.

Although I like this shot a lot I have to point out a couple things. The left side tree line is completely black except for a couple spots of light, no details. Was this intentional, I don't know. I don't know what your ps skills are but a little burning in in the clouds and sky would've greatly improved this image. Love the reflections. I would've cloned out that post/stick in the middle of the lake, once I spotted it I kept going back to it.

This is nice but after seeing the other closeup cat shots on this site I see now why the really good ones stand out. Both eyes are illuminated evenly, giving a symmetrical aspect to the image, which is always pleasing to the eye no matter how the symmetry is conveyed. Your cat's eyes are not lit up the same and that's what hit me right off the bat. A pleasing capture all the same for a Warm Colours challenge.
