Tulip Time - Day 1by sherpetComment: I would've given this a 6 or 7 because of the lines and angle it was shot at. Great colours too. Very nice flower shot Sher. |

Just for Ken....by ShutterPugComment: Wow I love this insect. Looks prehistoric with its fur and long nose thing. Only in Alaska you say?

Purple Mist - Day 4by sherpetComment: First thing I thought when I viewed this was, out of focus. Upon looking though I see your focus point was in the middle of the leaf and quite frankly is ok right there. This shot kind of grows on you.
I would have preferred a wee bit more dof. |

Day 1: Tenticlesby bobonacusComment: Love the focus on the stigmas and stamens. Lovely colours too. You should've placed that 3rd stigma from the left a little more centered though. Just kidding. |

20080602 Backyard Macro N14226-s720 -1.jpgby NeilComment: Ahh yes, Coccinellidae. Great late afternoon shot, love the lighting at this time.
Since his face is not well lit, therefore keeping me from focusing on it, my eyes tend to want to focus on the upper region just above his head. I guess what I'm saying is I would've preferred a lower angle to this shot.
I have to ask, was it red or orange? Is the orange tint because of the sun at that time of day? Why do I ask? I took this in March and was told it wasn't a Ladybug. If you want, read Caroline's comment in the pic below, she explains it all.

The Creators Masterpiece -- The Milky Way rising over the Pines by jlanoueComment: Crappy title but great exposure.
I take that back. Must have been in a grumpy mood that day. I like the inclusion of the treeline in this shot. But I don't get it though, if you're tracking the stars, why aren't the trees blurry? I presume the software uses one exposure for earth objects and another for the stars. Message edited by author 2008-08-17 20:33:15. |

Interior by LouisComment: Cool shot Louis, congrats on your blue. Very good pose. Who says great portraits can't be done with one light setups? ;\ |
