Artists either shoot/paint/write what they love and say to hell with the reviews and critics, or they edit and shoe-horn their work into the mainstream, possibly at the expense of pride. You have a rare talent that some people simply don't "get" (pun unintended.) Really hope you see this as a breakthrough, because your work is outstanding, imo.
