Works for me. Agree with your technique. I usually composite, liquify and then add the final touches (overlay. sharpen, levels. etc.)when I am satisfied with it. Also, after using liquify I have found "Shake reduction" a complimenting tool. (PS CC) It seems to fix some of the stretch issues that liquify causes.

Yes. 2 lights. 1 for the hair light (behind me) and another (in front of me) just a bit off center. The background was placed in after. Having the hair light is the only way to really make a shot like this work. I always try to create some depth. My techniques usually consist of blur and lighting.
