Nice capture of the player striking the ball in the air, I agree about the slight softness to the image, you don't say what lens or if it's heavily cropped or not though

If you could get in tighter I think that would help with this shot. Also either a faster shutter speed (or a slower one to get some panning) would help.

Great you can see their faces in this and the colour of their kit helps them stand out.

Maybe a wider aperture of f/4 (with the 1.4x) would have helped make them stand out even more by reducing the dof. It would be nice if you could have got in a little tighter (assuming you were not already at full zoom!)

As others have said would be nice to see the faces, however I like the fact you've captured the stumps flying and the players stand out well :)

If you cropped this as well the noise will look more than it is, you could use the magnetic selection tool, select the two players, invert the selection and then run some noise reduction on the rest as that doesn't matter if it gets a bit softer and noise seems to be worse in the bokeh
