I was intrigued to find which shot was your and leave you a more detailed comment, so here goes :)

I really like the low pov looking up through the forum, I think it's the pillar in the foreground that I don't like being cropped, I kinda keep looking at it rather than the rest of the great scene.

I do like the composition of the rest of the buildings, the diagonals lead you nicely to the central churchy thing!

As Brian mentioned the sky could do with being a bit punchier by creating another "exposure" and blending them on (assuming you use photoshop of course!)

I do like the rest of the processing you've done vs the original, much more impact, but maybe just a slight increase in colours would add even more punch I think.

Great job beating the 6 barrier, it's always my main aim in a challenge :) Oh, and Rome is awesome, spent a hectic long weekend there a couple of years ago, so much to see

The flash was off the camera on the little stand it comes with with an infra-red remote trigger thingy.

Wow, so I was way off the mark! You have some great kit there to get a shot like this, I freely admit that it's bizarre I thought something wasn't right as it looked too good to be a real shot!! For what it's worth I still gave you a 5! I've just looked through your profile and you have some great shots there.
