A couple of you have commented on how tall these palm trees are. They are queen palms, and I'd guess that they are around 50' tall. There are a lot of them around town, and as a child I remember the fire department using their hook and ladder truck to trim them. Now, the city has a couple of cherry-pickers that they send around to do the job. Queen palms are very graceful, beautiful trees, but they do go up like a torch in fires -- OK for in the city, but not a good idea for gardens in the fire zones as some people learned during the Tea Fire.

Your apple phone thingie kinda reminds me a bit at times of a pinhole, only sharper. Lovely framing of the moon and I like the gradient.

Those palm trees look so tall! I've never seen a tall palm tree in real life, would love to see one.
