I really like the low pov looking up through the forum, I think it's the pillar in the foreground that I don't like being cropped, I kinda keep looking at it rather than the rest of the great scene.
I do like the composition of the rest of the buildings, the diagonals lead you nicely to the central churchy thing!
As Brian mentioned the sky could do with being a bit punchier by creating another "exposure" and blending them on (assuming you use photoshop of course!)
I do like the rest of the processing you've done vs the original, much more impact, but maybe just a slight increase in colours would add even more punch I think.
Great job beating the 6 barrier, it's always my main aim in a challenge :) Oh, and Rome is awesome, spent a hectic long weekend there a couple of years ago, so much to see
