Wonderful scene and composition - surely a high placer. Some pleasant texture visible obviously especially in the near rock and moss on the watefall lip. Should end up with a good few faves!

Lovely looking tree indeed. Very striking. The image looks very soft though (handheld - no tripod) so this is something I would rely on for a shot where there isn't much light.

If I were taking this I might try to get very low and close to the tree roots, shoot in portrait and look upawards at the trunk with a very long DOF (focusing on the trunk with at least f8). This would give a great view of the textures both near and far.

As it stands your comp is OK, but I would have lost the bright background with the person showing.

Great forms and nice view of the contextual environment. I'd perhaps like to see a slightly higher viewpoint with the camera much closer to the rocks. If shot with a tripod and longish exposure you could have achieved an amazing DOF which would have made this a stunner.
