Civilizationby peterishComment: More graphic art than a photo, but it's interesting in places while too untreated in others (the meat for instance which is nearly virginal). Looks a tasty bit of fish that. That nose could do with some Biore pore cleansing though! : ) |

Be in awe of nature - You're part of itby saintaugustComment: Lovely sense of optimism and rebirth. I lvoe the subject - and nature of course. My only criticism is that I think you could have lost some sky in favour of some more detail in the foreground - a plant very close perhaps, or even some gossamer to catch some blurred refraction? I don't know, but this is still lovely if a little central in composition. |

The Beauty of Natureby AlexSaberiComment: This subject is strong enough to ribbon. You chose a great time of day with a wonderful weather condition - one to envy for sure. Picking nits I'd say the comp should have caught more water, less sky and panned more to the right to get the swans further in - or, to have stayed left and shot earlier before they moved out of shot. Very serene indeed - and I can celebrate such natural beauty time and again. |

The Power of Life by roadrunnerComment: This is my kind of celebration for sure.
This photo though, in my view, has been severely undermined by some gimmicky editing which it really does not need. The soft uber-burning has degraded the natural detail that gives it its power in the first place. I find myself wanting to strip all that eye candy away and see what was there in all its gritty glory, so stop tinkering just to win votes from DPCers who can't see past it!
Now that I've vented - I won't let it affect my score on this occasion, so have an 8 for a great photo in every other way.

Magical Morning Mist by jemisonComment: One of the best ballon shots I've seen = great light and choice of moment. Will undoubtedly score high if not ribbon the blue. Very serene with a tangible silence. |

Transienceby ImagineerComment: No offence whatsoever! Thanks for commenting.
I did question this submission of two though - and could probably have scored higher for the DPC aesthetic if I'd submitted the otherĂ¢€Â¦
