Lighting me upby dinnComment: Meets challenge and is a lovely subject. Composition is a little too low and the colours in the background do not gel very well with the butterfly's wings. Crisp, clean shot. |

Solomon's Songby LafaminitComment: There's not a lot to hold the attention here. Colours are good and it meets the challenge, but it's just not very appealing to me. It also looks like the Photoshop lighting effect filter has been used, since the arc lies flatly over the undulating pages. |

winter cabbageby andywightmanComment: With longer DOF this could easily resemble a rainforest. It caught my eye and I reckon it's worth experimenting to make the impression work. You'll need to select a larger aperture (towards f8) and allow longer shutter speeds. |

Well composed and good use of the technique for a memorable shot. Crisp focus, but the pink stuff (hand?) top right is a bit 'unclean'. |
