Irondequoit Bayby RochesterGalComment: Not a bad structure but your composition is too tight and you're not leading people into the shot, but rather out of it. Looks like it was snowing too, but some people might think it was a dirty lens! Perhaps shooting really close to the girders would give a sense of strength and add some detail and dimension to the composition. |

15th Century, Framwellgate Bridge at nightby fredandaudComment: Not a bad viewpoint or subject but the image lacks clarity and it does look like it's been sharpened to compensate for missing definition. It's a shame because this does look like a lovely scene and you've composed it well.
If I were you I'd use a tripod, try to get closer to the water (without dying trying). Then focus on the lightest part of the scene and expose for around 8-15 secs. Ideally use a Neutral Density filter which will even out tones somewhat and reduce 'hot spots' fropm lights. This will also give you some super smooth water effects as the long exposure records all the movement as one. |

Ultimate Separation by marboComment: Nice image, but a touch spoiled by some rough, uneven editing in the sky area. Is this Dunstable/Chilterns? |

The Runway Becomes Smallby chad_ecComment: A man after my own heart! I did some aerobatics last year and captured the whole lot on camcorder. I'd love to get my DSLR up there one day - I envy you this! How many Gs were you pulling during your flight? I reached 6.5-7 during a sharp 360.
You desreve to do well here, not least because of the capture, but also because your image is crisp, clear and a well composed. |

You Smell So Good.by hdogg4uComment: :: Hello from the Critique Club ::
............................................................
Well, this little fella isn't going to win many beauty contests. Never mind. In his own way he is beautiful, just not typically so. He's got cute eyes and an interesting nose, so we have something in common.
As far as a critique goes, much has been already said below, but I classify this as a snapshot, so my critique as based around a shot that has no forward planning, set-up, pre-conceived ideas, etc.
Good points:
> It's well composed with the subject filling the frame
> Subject is unusual
> You've captured an elusive(?) creature
Bad points:
> Flash has caused tonal imbalance
> Focus should be on eyes (stop down and you'd get more focal range, but low light would make this impractical with a moving subject)
> Colours are drab and uninteresting so it's not appealing to most, apart from 'educational' value
Hope this helps
Cheers

~ME~by HBunchComment: Indeed - under rated. Love your hair and you make a pretty picture. ; )
There's a fair bit of attitude in this - I reckon you must be a handful at times! |

Inner spiritby nico_blueComment: Despite the slight editing flaws around your arms and hands (was ht eb/g sharp originally?), this is a great shot. Well posed and shows a passionate, sensitive, thooughtful character. |
