This is an amazing flower, love the curls that appear on this. The bee is nice and black with a good contrast. The hot pink against the cool green works in your favour.

I would say almost that the flower is overwhelming your main subject, if you shape your left land into a L and crop the picture right up to the more whitish of the plant, you have a more dramatic main subject.

Your lines are clean and sharp, the colours are outstanding, you have managed to get a nice sharpness about all the aspects but no halos from over sharpneing, very nicely done. The title does help to determine that it is a bee, I first thought it was a fly. Doesnt matter either way, bee/fly works well.

You did a great job on this macro. 8

i gave this an 8. I liked to softness of teh curving pattern that you got in hsi fower ,whilst still keeping the background darker.

You have kept the details as sharp as possible in this, I am wondering if the angle could be a little differnt. The only reason I am saying this is the brown stalk is very much there, I am not sure if it is takign away from teh picture or not.

I am a lover of negative space, but also wondering if it was taken in just a tad bit on the left side, not much just a tad.

Overall, the pattern is soft and flowing the leading line of hte flower is great.

this is what I see when i look at it.

it is an amzing picture to say the least. But I think it really needs to be pin sharp, it does seem oof. The other thing that i noticed is and I know there isnt, but it looks like burning on the gold. sort of a blackish shadow on there, it appears on the lower left of the shot to within the white.

magnificent colours here, amazing patterns, you are so lucky to be able to be there and see this.

Havent read any one else comments yet, so here is what I see.

Love the yellow against the black. The yellow bit on the tire ties it into the background too. I like the angle on this, it is coming forward and is right in your face.

The thing that I keep looking at though is the white thing on the tire, is it a cobweb? it keep drawing my eye to it to see what it is and the tiny leaf stuck in your ridge. Isnt it silly as to what we find when we study the pictures.

I personally would have liked to have seen the right side of the tire tread a bit more though rather than blackness and no detail.

I scored this one a 7.

If I remember correctly I think I gave this a 7. I am not sure why you got so many low votes on this one. There are patterns everywhere on this.

I foun d it to be sharp, clean, in focus, good use of colour. Being BW took away some of the busyness of the photo. There where alot of people in the photo which didnt help, but trying to get them to go away would have been impossible!!! Well unless you started tossing water ballons!.

No I think you hit the challenge on the head with this one, many patterns from square to wiggly to clean lines.

Well I for one think it is brilliant. I don't care how much it has been done before.

Everyone has to learn at some point and learning something new is what makes photography interesting.

I am now off to buy some glass to give it a try too!

Well done on getting a ribbon, you did very well and I like it very much,
