Dead Ducksby NuzzerComment: I think just a tad bit more sharpening could be done with her. A sweep with the saturation brush could bring out a lot of hidden colours. If it where not for the title I would not have known they where dead. Maybe bring out the red a bit more of the blood and dull the eye a little, it is almost too bright to be a dead eye. Interesting shot though, not somthing that is seen on here much. |

Fire Truckby Dirt_DiverComment: Wow, this is so much fun, HDR? the only thing I would say is maybe a sweep over with the sat brush to bring out a little more red, it is a really great shot. I adore how you have intrigated the two shots like that. It gives it a more powerful punch than if it was just a fire truck by its self. my son knew exactly what it was as soon as he saw it. Now he wants one. (Cheers mate!) |

Beautyby jacoloComment: I am totally not trying to be mean here or anything, but this came across to me as dead. I am so sorry. The eyes just jave a dead feel about them. Again so sorry, do not mean to upset you |

Frog on Tropical lily by trainComment: how could this be anything other than a 10. the warmth from the stamins (sp) going into the cool purple is so eyecatching, even standing alone this lily was perfect. but then throw in a frog, who has clarity, crisp clean and so green. his little fingers holding onto the delicate petals just reek of gentleness. Well done on such an amazing capture |

Caughtby heavyjComment: 10. An amazing capture to say the least. Even without the title you have conveyed sadness and lost hope. That is what I am getting from the picture. The overwhelming defeat in this picture has been caught. You have done an amazing job. |

Honey ... I'm Homeby blackpComment: This is an amazing flower, love the curls that appear on this. The bee is nice and black with a good contrast. The hot pink against the cool green works in your favour.
I would say almost that the flower is overwhelming your main subject, if you shape your left land into a L and crop the picture right up to the more whitish of the plant, you have a more dramatic main subject.
Your lines are clean and sharp, the colours are outstanding, you have managed to get a nice sharpness about all the aspects but no halos from over sharpneing, very nicely done. The title does help to determine that it is a bee, I first thought it was a fly. Doesnt matter either way, bee/fly works well.
You did a great job on this macro. 8 |

Swirlby KelliComment: i gave this an 8. I liked to softness of teh curving pattern that you got in hsi fower ,whilst still keeping the background darker.
You have kept the details as sharp as possible in this, I am wondering if the angle could be a little differnt. The only reason I am saying this is the brown stalk is very much there, I am not sure if it is takign away from teh picture or not.
I am a lover of negative space, but also wondering if it was taken in just a tad bit on the left side, not much just a tad.
Overall, the pattern is soft and flowing the leading line of hte flower is great. |
