I am seeing a trend in your shots. They are mostly out of focus. I am beginning to believe that this is how you mean to shoot them.

The eyes are in great focus, the pigeon has a head problem and some wing problems. Your horizon is tilted, I am not even sure how you managed this shot, everything bar the pigeon is in focus.

Hi from the CC Club and Tucson!!!

What you have here is a collared lizard, she is also full of eggs. You can tell by the red splotches. Nice capture.

S impressions, a little more sharpness, some contrast, and a little saturation. In the wild you will find that these are about the right colour, but the orangey splotches are usually vivid red, so you could have got away with some more saturation. maybe even a closer crop so your attention is completely on her and not the surrounding blurred rock. Technically, it is from above, just to the side as well. I do not know much about Picassa, so not sure what to tell you about PP work.

I think you did a great job on this

HI from the CC club!

A very cool shot here, thank your wife for the idea!

1st Impressions, very dark with just the one lighting on the side, couldn't see the other hand at all very well. BUT, the more you look at it, the more you see your wifes hand. This is not a 5 second glance shot. But this is DPC. I think that is probably why it wasn't placed higher .

This is very creative and artistic, it wouldn't surprise me to find it hanging on your wall at home. You have done a great job in the post processing, very sharp, clean lines. A buttery softness on the shoes, good choice to have the man hand behind the feminine wrist.

Nice job!

Hi from teh CC club!

I would have thought that bottle would have been a whiskey bottle after all your gear was stolen. I am so sorry that happened. But your POS did a really good job!

1st impression; The table and background just aren't jiving here. If it was all grey or all blue, I think it would have made a big difference. Your sharpness is great, a lovely deep red rich colour in the petals and I even spot a water drop or two. There is also a crease in the backdrop which is drawing my eye.

I love the simplicity of it all, the bottle , the flower.

Hello from the CC Club!!

Well, YAY I get to comment on this shot, which was my fav in the whole challenge. I am pretty stunned at the placement of this shot, should have been higher.

The only thing I can say about this shot, is maybe cropping out the white, blown out area. If you did a straight down left hand side crop this would get rid of this. It would also in affect, put more focus onto the head.

I still love this shot and it still has the same calming affect on me.

Keep on shooting I am excited to see more of your work

Well, as pointed out, it is pretty much out of focus. It would have been a great shot in focus. The silica in the sand would have popped out and all those colours would have made this a very great shot

HI from the CC Club,

I so want one of those monkeys!!!!!!

So 1st impression: very colorful, very intense. I am tilting my head a little so a bit of straightening out would have worked. Definitely needs some sharpening to bring out clarity and details. In post processing, instead of using the auto for contrast, play around with it, you will find that this also adds some depth to your shadows and makes it a little less flat. Selective colours would be your friend in this shot too as it is so colorful this would have given each colour just a little bit more of an edge.

Good placement for this shot, well done

Hi from the CC Club!

Looks like it was a cold day there!

First thing I noticed was your ISO, wow I never knew it could go down to 50.

It was a brave choice to go black and white with this shot, I think you could have gone with a longer shutter speed on this one for the creamy smooth like waves that is very popular right now. This would have contrasted nicely with the sharp jagged rocks.

Your rocks are interesting in their shapes, but I am not sure if it is the conversion to BW that has made the seem very over sharpened, there is a halo around the rocks from it. Playing around with different positions would have eliminated the ship and the branch. In post processing, if you use the selective colours and hue and saturation, then turn it into a BW, you will find that it brings out some amazing contrasts and details that get overlooked.

I am looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Hello from the CC Club!!

1st Impressions, This is a very straight on shot, the composition could have been a little different.

You have a leaf in the water there, and if you look at teh water, it is almost shaped like a leaf. If you have dropped it closer and to the left, i think it would have had a greater impact on the viewer and been a stronger photo.

More contrast and sharpness would have brought out some of the details in the stone. You have the right idea for the challenge and the I would love to see some more PP work on this.

Keep on shooting
