darn... with a little more space at the top this would have scored a bit better, I think.

And there's an odd bit of green around his ear.

A tip to make it seem like there's space when there isn't is to put a very very narrow dark border all around and then add a wider white border (or whatever the photo is colored where you want to add space). That gives the eye more room above the dog. Still a 6 from me.

I need to see at least a shadow of an eye or something to really make this work for me. Perhaps a lighter background would have made the black on the cat not blend into the background.

The flopflops are so out of character with the rest of this... I think it would have been better without them. Also, perhaps shot from a lower viewpoint would make this more appealing... Nice lighting.

The bottom seems crowded with so much space above the apple. Perhaps cropping a bit off the top would help. Other than that, I like this very much... oh... well... I'd like to have seen the apple stem, too. But, other than those two things... *grin*... it's very well done. Nice catchlights in the eyes and I like the look of concentration.
