a single bloom is tough unless taken as a macro shot. I've tried this and had the same effect, small bloom lost in a big blurry background. also centered composition seems boring to me. 4

Subject - this is a horticultural cactus graft. It wouldn't be growing out on a desert. A pretty kitchen window would be more appropriate. The background is distracting and muddy. doesn't work for me.

Hi, this is a really nice image and underrated in the challenge. I might suggest cropping off the bottom shadow but it is nice either way. I voted it a 9 in the challenge. cheers.

This is a very neat photo. I gave it a 7 in the challenge because it didn't convey the theme so well. Still, it's a really neat image and should have done much better.
