Solid Groundby figmentComment: The smoke gives some awesome dimension and feel to this. My Flickr meetup group attended a WWII reenactment last year. Some of the participants liked what we posted and we got invited to be part of the action as "war correspondents" for the next one. I expect to get some great action shots the next time. |

Majestyby APComment: I like the subtlety of the tones here, as well as the strong perspective. Is that river frozen over? I see a pattern that looks like ice. (No vote, comment only, because I ran across this on your Flickr page last week) |

Makapu'u Lighthouseby vanillabean93Comment: There may be some extra JPEG compression taking away some detail. I see some artifacts right around the high contrast edges of the outcropping. Your file size is only 49k and you could have used up to 200k for this challenge. Compression kills detail. When you save your file, always use the least compression you can get away with and still come in under challenge limits. |

Fleeting Passionby dswannComment: Killer sharp. Lots of fuzzy details (That sounds like an oxymoron). I'm not a floral fan, but it's good. |

Gothic Dawnby PaulComment: I gave it a 6, but didn't really know why. In spite of flaws, I found it interesting to look at. |

September 12, 2001by GeneralEComment: The date of the title immediatley grabs me. I have to assume that was intentional, and you are trying to convey that these small children had absolutely no idea how their world and their future had just changed. I can't give it more than a 5 for the snapshotty photography, but it has far more impact than the scores will tell. |
