Fries do come with that shake. by bvyComment: I'm pleased to see that I nailed this as yours. I also think it deserves one of my shoehorns for the humor it brings with it.

Passing Cyclistby nivek248Comment: This didn't come up for me in voting, but it would have gotten a high vote from me. Partly because I just love bicycles, but I also like the contrast of the high tech rider on the racer and the old 3-speed town bike. |

Saleby deadbrainComment: Seriously underrated. Some really strong social commentary here. You got a 9 from me. |

The Show-off by vawendyComment: Oh, was there a skateboarder in the picture? I need to go look again.
Oops, I guess there is! He was not obvious to me.

In All Directionsby JudiComment: Yup. The city of Sydney and a redheaded photographer are easy clues. I gave it a 7. I like these semi-abstract shots. |

Discoverby CeliannaComment: I'm one of the dense voters that did not see the connection. Of course, now that I can see your notes, I understand what you were trying to convey. I'm afraid I gave it a neutral vote of a 5, because as wonderful an image as I think it is, I just failed to see the connection. Sometimes (frequently, in fact) thinking outside the box is not rewarded with a good score. Still a very well done entry, even if the relevance went over my head. Folded Sedimentary Layersby GeneralEComment: So the tree IS embedded in the cliff face! Cool. I do agree with Kaiser_chef that a different angle may have shown off the uniqueness of this to better advantage. An interesting entry nonetheless. Thanks for the Wikipedia link explaining the formation. |
