Samanthaby efrazierComment: Wow! Lovely and nicely done. I hope to be able to do photos of people this well someday. I may not do a lot of gorgeous half naked models in rivers, however. |

Mallard ducksby WoodwardComment: I think there are a few issues with this that will keep it pretty low in this challenge.
-Composition is too centered. The ducks are plopped right in the middle of the frame and my eye is not led anywhere.
-White balance may be off some, and could account for so much brownish tone, which is keeping the subject from standing out. Something is off with the colors.
-The detail on the ducks seems a little soft. I suspect this may have been an extreme crop.
-Ducks are just a difficult subject to do because they are so common. A duck shot must be really outstanding to get attention.
Sorry to be so harsh on your effort, but I hope this was at least useful. |

Frog Dipby mischiefsgirlComment: Has some really good potential, but I think the shot comes off a little flat. A few more adjustments (levels, curves, contrast) might really make this stand out. |

Pearl in the Cornerby LaundryComment: An interesting take on minimalism, but it's just not impacting me much. Not quite sure what to suggest or how to explain it, though. |

Downstairsby DistantColoursComment: Nice high-key treatment of this. I'm curious how wide a focal length you had to use to fit this all in. |

Life During Wartimeby franktheyankComment: I'm afraid your processing to make the people stand out gives it a fake look. The edges are harsh and it looks like they were 'shopped in, rather than being part of the scene. |

Eye of the Stormby pallComment: Looks like you were rotating the camera during a long exposure? Very cool looking. |

Chromaticityby KenComment: Starting to lose count of how many times I have seen this! It's a great subject, though. My employer handed out a calendar this year that included a shot of this, I could not believe how oversharpened with visible sharpening halos their calendar shot was. |

un- usedby NorthStarComment: Nice, I really like the colors and tones here. It's cropped perhaps a little tight for my own preferences. |

Grain Storageby ButterflyGirlComment: Neat patterns and colors on that mound of grain, but I think the composition of the shot could be improved. There is way too much sky that it not doing anything for the shot, and all the interesting stuff is packed in at the bottom. I think a different perspective on this would be quite good. |
