Welcome to Floridaby JuliBocComment: A little bright and my eye is trying to see parts of the scene that are outside the frame. From the composition, I think you were trying to have the flag as the focal point, but the bright yellow building is what grabs me instead. |

The Gentle Cascades below Solitude Lakeby hahn23Comment: Great location, but I think you were shooting in the photographically lousy midday sun, and the scene itself seems a bit busy and is really not guiding my eye through the image well. I'd love to see what else you had from this location. |

untied...by asimchoudhriComment: Pretty simple, and it looks like a quick shot that you just happened to notice, but it really appeals to me. The texture of the rope came out looking really good and it contrasts nicely with the dock. |

Fly-Byby 3DsArcherComment: Knock, knock... JPEG police here. We have a warrant.
A great action shot but there is a lot of extra JPEG compression taking away some detail and creating visible artifacts. (It struck me first in the orange area on the head, but they are visible all over, outlining the bird's body) Your file size is only 47k and you could have used up to 200k for this challenge. Compression kills detail. Always use the least compression you can get away with and still come in under challenge limits.
I am often the only one anal enough about compression to notice such things, but it jumped right out at me. |

Smokin' Hotby LalliSigComment: It should not really have anything to do with your photo, which is very good, but the cigarette actually takes away from the model's attractiveness and desirability for me. |

Stretched Thinby FourPointXComment: This shot is extremely flat looking. I thought it had a lot more in it however, so I copied it into paintshop pro and tried some common adjustments on it. After doing levels, curves, saturation and contrast, it really bumped this up a notch and brought out some nice detail and colors. As it stands, however, I'm afraid I have to give this a 4 for a good effort that has potential, but needs some more work. Sorry. |
