Reminds me of a photographic project from the 80's, where they took a red couch around the US and photographed it with different places and people.

Clearly an intentional effort, but the busy background has nothing to do with the skateboarder and makes it come off like a snapshot. The subject is almost lost in it. If you could have gotten this same shot from another perspective, it could be very effective.

Just on the off chance that nobody else has left an explanatory comment to accompany their low vote, I will. Hope this helps.

-The image is pretty soft, could use sharpening.

-Colors are washed out, some levels and curves adjustments could help that.

-There is an afterimage that looks like a partial reflection, but it is not obvious enough for me to take it as an intentional part of the composition.

-You should use the entire 640 pixels available on at least one side. You get maximum detail into the image that way.

-Watch the JPEG compression as well, you have up to 150k to use and the less compression you use the clearer your image will be.
