The Forest That Grandpa Built.by rooumComment: Now this looks cool. Love the centered view and the grain really enhances it. The most artistic entry I have run into in this challenge so far. Hope it does well for you, it deserves a high placement. |

X Powerby MuskybuckComment: Some pretty heavy halos around everything. A 72k file size tells me this is probably compression artifacts. Always use the least amount of JPG compression you can and still sneak in under the challenge limit. With a 300k file size limit, you could have easily avoided this. |

Power Breakby jomernerComment: I like it, but if I can nitpick, some selective editing to eliminate the graininess in the sky could have helped a bit. |

Outback Lifelineby JudiComment: Effective combination of color and sepia. More of a nice landscape than a photo of powerlines, but there will be a lot of entries like this. |

DPC in RGBby GeorgeComment: Well, I was wrong about whose it was, but I'm glad you at least got to cross that goal off your list. There is a certain notoriety to achieving the brown. Congrats on your debatable achievement. (I happen have one as well and I am quite pleased with it.) |

Latte macchiatoby MelethiaComment: I thought this might be yours, but I figured If I guessed I would be wrong. I hazarded a written guess on two others in this challenge and was wrong on both of them.
BTW, it got an 8 from me, which I bumped up to a 9 before rollover. Message edited by author 2009-12-11 00:34:04. |

Water Toysby desertoddityComment: Looks like you rotated your profile page with this one. Nice going, but I don't expect it to stay in that spot long. |

Little Islandby alexzenComment: Nice scene, though I am not seeing any sigh of what I thought was the tilt-shift look. Perhaps a different or more subtle use of it?
Added: I researched it a bit, and it appears I was incorrect in my understanding of the applications for tilt-shift. From Wikipedia:
Such lenses are frequently used in architectural photography to control perspective, and in landscape photography to get an entire scene sharp.
Bumping my vote up. |

often overlookedby skewsmeComment: A decent enough scene, but I'm not seeing any sign of a tilt-shift look to it. If this is a more subtle use of the technique, please feel free to whack me over the head with a cluebat.
