Looks pretty blurry and some washed out highlights as well. I think the idea has a lot of potential, but there's not much that can be done for this shot. Looks like there may have been some use of onboard flash for this. Forward facing onboard flash rarely provides a good look to a shot. Using a tripod to stabilize the camera and shooting using some off camera light could possibly help. Sorry to be so harsh.

Sorry to see you missed your goal, but at least you were underdone by one of our skilled blurry abstract photographers. I also thought his was better than it got.

Motion blur shots tend to be risky entries unless the challenge has a blur theme. I thought this one deserved a better placement. I liked it one and gave it a 7.

Man, you got robbed! This is one of your best. It got an 8 from me. The colors and textures are great. Light is perfect for the subject. I guess the subject itself failed to capture attention, is the only thing I can figure.

A high commenters average tells me this did find some folks who recognized the good photograph in this.
