I really like this photo. The lack of sharpness on the top row and the cross-processed look gives it an old style feel. The composition is nice and it's very artistic.

This looks like it was taken with a camera phone. I think the saturation is too high, the focus is off, your shoe rack is in an odd location in the picture and the lighting varies from black to pure whites.

I'm not sure if you really tried on this shot but it isn't that good. I'm not being mean but I think someone needs to say it.

Email me if I hurt your feelings.

Looks pretty blurry and some washed out highlights as well. I think the idea has a lot of potential, but there's not much that can be done for this shot. Looks like there may have been some use of onboard flash for this. Forward facing onboard flash rarely provides a good look to a shot. Using a tripod to stabilize the camera and shooting using some off camera light could possibly help. Sorry to be so harsh.

No one needs this many shoes...now you see why. You know, sharp focus probably would not have worked better like I first thought.

a bit too edited, i think the picture overall would've been more effective if the flash hadn't been so strong. but i like the idea

I think I get what you're trying to convey. And I resonate with the sentiment. But little else ...
Sorry.

A very creative idea to show a womans world of shoe choices! My wife would admire the collection. I voted this photograph pretty low and just wanted to give some constructve criticism to help explain why. There seems to be some issues with the exposure. There are very dark shoes where the details were lost and very light shoes where there are no details either. I am assuming this was shot with an on camera flash because the lighting is very bright in the middle of the photo and very dark around the edges. I would prefer to see a softer diffuse lighting. Perhaps putting some white translucent paper in front of the flash could help it to be less direct. Also there just seems to be some problems with the clarity of the photo. It doesn't seem to be in focus at all. It may be due to camera shake, being handheld or just missing the focus. One good thing about the photo is the color seems to be spot on. Nice shades of red, blue and tans/browns/golds. Hope you had a good ime with the challenge.

Idea pretty good, it looks like this photo had a lot of sharpening applied to a not so sharp photo. Might just be me. Lot's of overexposure on the top shelf. Try an off camera directional flash pointed into the middle of the shoe rack. Drop you aperture to the smallest you can get to get some natural sharpening (better depth of field).

The idea is good, but the execution less imho. Nothing is sharp, the light shoes above are overexposed (as if you've used your on-board flash).

Lacking in overall focus and without using any of the shoes as a focal point, this photo both fails to excite my interest and only thinly meets the challenge.
