Yup, I thought this was yours from your remarks in the scores thread shortly after I had faved it. In spite of the overall low average, I can see from the comments and voting breakdown that it found it's fans. In spite of a majority that does not care for abstract photography, I'd call this a success.

I gave it a 7. Pic was really only a 5 for me, but it was such a creative OOTB idea, that it deserved something extra. I was looking at your shot details. F29? Doesn't sound right for such a pic, especially given the shallow DOF. I see you used a closeup filter. That explains some of it. Is the F29 a typo?

In a nutshell, some better depth of field and some adjustments to give it a little wow factor were all this needed. It only came in so low because most voters did not see the connection to the topic.

A good effort for your first challenge. I see you wore your thickest skin to this challenge. I gave it a 4, which is what I vote on something that shows some knowledge and effort, but is still lacking in a major way. Looking forward to seeing what comes from you after this.

Did about what monitor macros normally do in challenges. However, I can see from the voting breakdown and comments that you did a good job for what it is, and it did find a group that appreciated what you accomplished. Despite the average vote, I would call this a successful entry.
