Grog understands and knows of longing to be free. Grog has also seen moving-image show called "Planet of Apes". Such show would not be made if not true. Sorry, Grog cannot let ape out, would violate laws of space-time continuum and create causality loop. Then Grog would never be born. (Grog is smart, learn many things of science from other moving-image show called "Trek to Stars".

A darn good shot, but a couple of nitpicks that keep it from being a great one for me.
-Seems cropped a little too tight top and bottom.
-A little too strong in the foliage with the dayglo color. Desaturating the yellows would give it a more realistic appearance.

I would say my nitpicks fall into the personal preferences category, as I don't feel they will be major issues that will hold this back and I expect it to do well.

Artistically lousy, and I'm sure you know that. High ISO grain, background clutter, etc. However, this needs to be evaluated as what it is, sports photography. What this is is a very good capture of a moment that cannot be repeated. It would look just fine printed in a newspaper. Gets an 8 from me for what you accomplished. I expect you will get creamed by others, however.
