pel2by cdpayneComment: I love pelicans! Fascinating birds. I have a bunch from my bike ride around Galveston last year that I need to break out and work on again. |

FINALmedby cdpayneComment: A cute sequence. I find there is some background clutter and that deep blue sky that draws my attention away from the subject. Perhaps a panoramic crop could help to draw the viewer to what you want them to look at. Another thing I often do is to use a subtle dark vignette to reduce the impact of peripheral elements in the scene. It draws the viewers eye where I want it to go, but is not so strong as to announce that I used a vignette. Message edited by author 2012-04-14 15:11:54. |

egret3smby cdpayneComment: Egrets seem to be tough birds to photograph, as they are such a bright white that it is hard to not blow out details. These are all good basic shots, but not great. The birds just aren't doing anything that grabs my attention. Check vawendy's portfolio for some great examples of creative treatments of egrets & herons. |

38sby cdpayneComment: I like this best out of the football shots. Good action and you caught a great expression. Background is nicely blurred so it doesn't pull my eye away from the main subject. |

New addtion to the familyby Yo_SpiffComment: Originally posted by Melethia: clips on the front, platforms on the back, cushy seat on the back, but drop bars, and less cushy seat forward with straight bars. A personality all its own. |
Actually, it's got platforms on both front and back. This is just how it came from the previous owner. I'll be changing both pairs out for dual sided SPD/platforms. The drops are going as well. Ellen won't ride with drops, and they hit the backs of my thighs when I pedal. I wouldn't mind having drops on the front, but then I would have to change the shifters out for bar ends and replace the brake levers as well. |

The Factoryby scooter88Comment: Thinking this is an entry from Phil Abra. The location looks familiar. Very well done with the PP. Pushed just far enough and not too far. Wish I'd done this one. |

Iby james_soComment: Wow. That lone eye just pulls me in. The outcome is hard to guess on this challenge, so no predictions, but this should ribbon, IMO. |
