beach ghostsby neilmwilsonComment: A nice enough landscape, though the birds are so small that they are not really the subject.
This shot is also way more compressed than it needed to be. At only 82k, you could have used a lot less JPEG compression and probably gotten more detail into the shot. |

In The Sticksby libertyComment: I can swear I saw this same bird once already. I think a tighter portrait crop would help the image flow a little better. |

California Condorby twmaxComment: I love this one. The head down look is great. Reminds me of the villainous vulture characters from some old cartoons. Face is the shadows is the only minor critique I can make, but with animals, you take them how you can get them. |

Columbidaeby rmezzoComment: A bold look with mostly subdued colors. Good job on the texture of the feathers as well as the brickwork. A closer crop would have been good, but that's a personal preference and NOT a criticism of the way you chose to do it. |

War Cryby trevytrevComment: Looks vicious! Great close up details. Colors are bold, but not over-saturated. |

Survivorby ArpeggioAngelComment: And he'll probably kick you with his good leg!
Some blown highlights and a slightly too busy background. Also, the bird is caught in mottled shadows. Using a wider aperture may have given you less DOF and blurred the background more. |

No Calls During Dinnerby levyj413Comment: Love those eyes! I find the crop a touch too tight on the left side. And a little noise visible on his feathers, though it is not an objectionable amount. It stands out mostly because the background is so smooth that I suspect you did some noise reduction there, but did not do it on the bird in order to keep detail. |
