A really well done duckie pic. My only critique is the cropping. Placing the ducks just a touch more to the lower left might have improved the visual flow.

Reflecting the Sun

It's a decent scene with smooth colors in the clouds and sky, but the composition does not work for me. The sun being blocked by the tree seems odd to me and that side of the image is fighting with those gorgeous clouds. Meanwhile, the lower left of the scene seems pretty bare and overpowered by the rest of the image.

A few feet to the right, with the whole scene framed by the overhanging tree branches, may have worked quite well.

Well, except for the visible hand that you admit to, the exposure is a little strong. Highlights are blown in places. However, I think that actually works for this, giving it a clean high tech look.

I'm finding the intense purple sky here just comes on a little too strong for me. It seems to overpower the trees. I think a tighter crop on the trees to the left side might have given it more oomph.
