Odd Man Outby EayeshComment: It does need some work, but I also think it shows a very good effort to try and make an interesting composition of common objects. Some white balance changes and playing with the lighting could vastly improve it. |

Dallas Skylineby eransh10Comment: This didn't come up for me in voting. Nice view. I was out taking some panoramas of Dallas myself last weekend. There is a park on Sylvan Ave that affords a nice view from the north, without much junk in the way. I'm curious exactly where you shot this one from, though I can identify the general area. I might like to try that location for myself sometime.
You were a little too heavy with the JPEG compression, however. The file size is only 84k, when you had up to 200k to use. I can see some artifacts around the tops of Renaissance tower and the Band of America bldg. Message edited by author 2008-05-08 00:47:22. |

Surrenderby littlegettComment: Well, it didn't ribbon, but I think coming in at #7 in a freestudy should convince you that your stuff is appreciated. I read your very interesting comments that go along with this. Even if something is not personally appealing to some, it is still possible for many to identify if it is a good photo or not. (Hope that was not my comment you quoted, but that does not sound like me!) |

Tramby hajekaComment: Nice bright graffiti, I think the background distracts from the main subject, however. A close perspective view may have had more impact. |

Tornby wanjunComment: Very pretty, though I can't really tell what it is. I'll call it an abstract. |

Master of Puppetsby BlackboxComment: Looks like a screen shot from a '50s movie. I expect to see Godzilla come into the frame at any moment and rip through those wires. A good job at getting an interesting view of something that is normally a distraction in a photo. I suspect you may get some low votes for the grainy and soft look, but I like it. |
