The shoehorn is chrome and picked up a lot of yellow reflections. I was trying to partially desaturate to kill some of the yellow cast on it and decided I liked the selective desat look for this. I've been having issues when photographing items on colored posterboard of the object picking up a reflected color cast. I think that is part of what hurt my scores in "Bicycles II" and "Portrait of a camera" If anyone has a suggestion, I'm needing to know what I am doing wrong with lighting that causes this.

Wonderful! I like the placement of the Fender logo and the smooth color blend on the background. those gentle color fades are hard to do in a small size JPEG.
