Wow, this did great for you, and you probably did choose the one that did better in voting! To be honest though, I like your outtake "sliding doors" better. But then everyone has different tastes, and the voting curve always reflects that.

I just had another look at this on my PC at work, where I have my monitor calibrated. With a calibrated monitor there is a LOT more fine detail and subtle shading visible.

Well, you knew it would do poorly, didn't you? But you really cleaned up on comments. the low averages with lots of fun comments makes for an interesting roller-coaster of a challenge. I gave it an 8, btw.

Yup. Thought this was yours. Abstracts generally do poorly here, but you knew that. Appealing to a handful of people that appreciate these things is a good goal however, and I think you hit it. I see that 28 people (myself included) though it was worth a 6 or above and 4 of them really liked it with a 10.

Looking forward to seeing how you do in the abstract b/w challenge this coming week.

Didn't come up for me in voting, but I think it was a good idea that just didn't work for this challenge. Maybe next week we'll have a veggies challenge. By the way, is that a foil candy wrapper in there? I thought you knew to stay away from foil now!

Not sure what it is, but this appears like you put some planning and thought into it. Not sure if it is the overall lighting that is the problem for me, or maybe it's the crop on the right side.

I see some softness and compression artifacts that don't belong. Your file size of only 76k indicates you could have gotten more clarity and detail into this shot. compression kills. Check your settings when you save your file and always save as close as you can to the challenge limit. (150k for basic) I'll probably be the only one to leave such a comment, however. Otherwise, this is a very good and artistically done shot.

Sure, put some pretty bikini clad girls in the pic and then hide them behind some, uh, purple umbrellas.

Hmmmm. Nice OOB thinking on this. But, how do I know they are not green grapes? Gotta give you a good score for both a well done image and making me have to think about it. Hope you don't get killed with DNMC votes, because this deserves to do well.
