"Pig Out" Living high on the hogby ThingFishComment: Congrats on a really good score in your first challenge! As I said in our PM exchange, you will often receive opposite opinions on the same aspect of your shot. Of course, I was one of the minority who did not like the color cast, but I see many preferred the way it looked. (You know what opinions are like, right?)
Again, a well done first entry, and welcome to the madhouse! |

povertyby lightwriterComment: Most certainly fits the challenge, though it appears a casual snapshot to me. Not sure on this one... |

Street Kid in Sydneyby vladoComment: This looks a little soft and odd. Almost a postcard shot that happens to have a boy in the foreground. A good shot except for that fuzziness in some spots, but it does not convey poverty to me. |

All I haveby peterComment: Very well done. I am not sure if this is a staged shot, or a real, on the street image. It does not matter for this challenge, however. The subject was to convey poverty, not necessarily to photograph the real thing. |

21st Century?by cptpolandComment: My first impression of this shot was that it was too busy, however that got me looking at details and reevaluating my original thoughts to give it a higher vote. |

Hoboby Trumpeteer4Comment: Looks more like his Halloween costume, and very much a stereotype. The photography is pretty decent, though. |

Itsy Bitsy Spiderby BudyaComment: Very nice. An interesting bit of trivia I recently learned when I posted a pic of one of these on my Flickr page. Somebody else told me that daddy longlegs are arachnids, but they are not spiders. I checked it out and he was right. Apparently, they do not have venom and they do not spin webs, along with some other physical differences. |

Miss Independenceby DCrest01Comment: Nice layout, though overall the colors seem a bit dull to me. I popped this into PSP to have a look and noticed the histogram was flat on the right 10-15% of the chart. Some easy adjustments would really help this to pop. |
