Evening Starby SJCarterComment: I like, but I think it needs to be either straightened or tilted more. This amount of tilt seems accidental to me. Very, very smooth transitions in the sky. |

untitledby kolasiComment: I really, really like this. However, I can't stretch my definition of a mirror to include a reflection in a water. This would have done well in the
"Reflections without mirrors" challenge. This shot gets a rare combination, a 4 and a fave.
Added: After reading the discussions in the score thread, I went and looked up definitions of "mirror" from several sources. I did not consider a reflection in water to be a mirror. Several sources use that as a secondary definition, so I must now consider a reflection in water to be a creative interpretation. I think it's only fair to reevaluate my original vote on this and give you some points back. |

Mirror Pond by BrinComment: A very cool shot, and I am really having to try and stretch my definition of a mirror to give this the high vote it ought to get. I'm afraid I have to give it a somewhat lower vote for now, though I may re-evaluate my thinking later on.

Running on a water mirrorby bjvermeulenComment: Not sure that this reflection really counts as mirror to me. Nice shot of this bird, however.

Landscape Mirrorby cassilda_terryComment: 3 things...
A) Lots of compression. Your file size of only 53k killed a lot of the detail in this scene with compression. Use as little compression as you can get away with and still stay within challenge limits.
B) White balance looks weird. I know this is probably late in the day, but the yellowish cast still looks odd to me.
C) I can't stretch my definition of a mirror to include a reflection in water.

Also added: (4) I now see a vignette on the image, which is not allowed in basic editing, unless it was created in-camera. Your entry may end up getting disqualified for that element. |

Locomotiveby iMacDaddyX2Comment: I'm curious where this is. It reminds me of an old locomotive engine that was in Eisenhower park (formerly Salisbury park) on Long Island when I was a kid. I wonder if it's still there? |

Red Rock Rainbowby beckydiComment: A nice scene, but the comp seems a little too centered for me, and the highlights are a little washed out by that high overhead sun. |

In the Valleyby CuttoothComment: Pleasing, but you could have improved it a lot by using the full 720 pixels and 200k file size allowed for a member challenge. |

The rogue Riverby SouthCoastOr3gonComment: Maybe a little to heavy on the tonemapping/HDR look for me. Personal preference there. I've liked many shots with a heavier handed approach, it just does not seem to work for me here. |
