Copper bowlby BrennanOBComment: A neat looking play of light and shadows. It seemed a little soft to me so I looked at the image properties. Your file size of only 124k indicates a moderately compressed image and that could be robbing some detail and sharpness from this image. You had some more overhead on the file size. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one) |

i Cu by ralphComment: I find my eye exploring all the curves in this one. Well done and a fave. Also, kudos for not taking the saturation to excessive levels. |

Fe (loses against two O's)by Shy ClickerComment: Good stuff here. May have had some more of that DPC-friendly wow factor if you'd bumped up the reds a little more. Like the fact that you caught the sun on the spiderwebs. |

Neonby Moose408Comment: I don't know why I didn't think of neon. Maybe it was just so obvious and always in my face, that I just missed it.
Excellent composition of this and interesting all around. |

1 Horse Power, Iron Rimsby J-MeComment: I find it very interesting that an antique buggy would be allowed to fall apart in the open like this. the photo could probably benefit from a little sharpening and if there was a perspective without that eye-drawing building in the background, that may have helped as well. I hope you have some more info on how this got here and why. |

Lead (Pb)by ButterflyGirlComment: Ummm, modern pencil "lead" is actually graphite. Graphite is a form of carbon, which is also an element, so this is not DNMC. However, it does make your title incorrect.
Good, though I've seen similar shots that managed to squeeze just a little more detail into the subject. Still worth a 6 from me. |

Native Cu (copper) Oreby AlainComment: Looks like an illustration in a geology textbook. I'm not really sure if that was a compliment or a critique. |

Phlogistonby raishComment: I had to go look that up on Wikipedia. Not an element from the periodic table, however, I expect many will not bother to look it up. I'll be interested to see the final score and other comments on this entry. |

Ripples of Lightby lpatrickComment: I like this. It's got some nice tones and subtle ripples that I like.
Easy to pick this out as a LPatrick entry. You know of course, there is only a minority of voters who like these pure abstracts. Looking forward to seeing one of these nail a high score one day. |
