World without glassesby lapopComment: Can't ding an out of focus shot with a title like this. Gotta give you a good vote for such a good idea. |

Cry me a river!by WickedSoundComment: I'm not thrilled with the heavy orange cast, though I do realize it was an intentional look. I do like the comp and crop you used for this. |

DESERT TREEby picksterComment: It's an interesting looking scene, though the high scoring "wow factor" isn't quite there. I popped this in to my editor out of curiosity and I think this would be really dramatic as a b/w. |

Standing By The Pondby BrianRComment: Neat scene. I guess the choice was to tilt the tree or the horizon. The tree looks a little overprocessed to me, almost like an illustration that has been pasted in. |

Winterby APComment: Great contrasty textures. The way the snow is lying over the bark just brings out lots of detail. |

Persevering from the Beginningby karmatComment: Maybe could use a little more pop in the contrast and color department. The bright snow is coming off grayish to me. I can also see some areas around the edges that appear to have had the vignette added. There is a clearly visible edge to it. It's something that may Not be visible on all monitors.
Added: I am now looking at it on my calibrated monitor at work, and the dark edges of the vignette are even more evident now. If it is not visible on your monitor, I am willing to bet some playing around with curves, levels or contrast will make what I am referring to stand out. |
