February by fldaveComment: I'm not a huge fan of floral shots, so one really has to be excellent to appeal to me. Great job here, lots of fine veins showing in the petals. |

the Tides of March by mpetersComment: Very punny. Now give me some of those swoopy clouds, I need them for next weeks challenge. |

Week 08by KenComment: The shadows really do look great. Good job on this. I like both images. Was the color version straight from the camera, or previously edited? |

February Carnivalby KineComment: Clear, sharp and a fascinating portrait. I suspect this is part of what I missed by not making the Mardi-Gras GTG. A fave and a nice high vote. |

swingin' february...by saintaugustComment: A lot a grain in the sky. It could be high ISO noise, but a file size of only 73k tells me that some of it may also be artifacts resulting from excessive JPEG compression. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one)
Aside from that severe graininess, I like this scene. It's very much out of the ordinary for a beach shot, so it caught my eye. I like the composition, it leads my eye right to the empty swing. |

MARCHby meowComment: The white spots on the doe look familiar. I believe this is the same deer I saw on Marc Benton's blog
Seems a little flat. Could probably benefit from some curves or contrast tweaks. The border does not come off to me well, either, I'm afraid. I can tell you tried to do an image that floats above the frame, picking up from the color of the deer. The brown is so dark, though, that the impression is that of a dull black. |

Novemberby tnunComment: The lighting strikes me as falling off too much toward the rear of the image. With most of the color tones being so close to each other, I think it really needs some brightening up. The square crop does not work for me either, there seems to be too much empty space at the top of the frame for my own preference. |

Januaryby bobccComment: Certainly taken in deep shade at dusk. Wondering what you did to bring out the nice detail in the forest. Could be an equipment thing for that. My Rebel Xt would not do as well in these conditions. |

Aprilby dahlinComment: Comes off very flat. I popped this into PSP to see, and found the histogram is flat on the rightmost 1/4. A quick levels adjust really brightened it up and brought out the dewdrops. |
